Spotify API Bug (potentially breaking your extension)

There’s currently a bug in Spotify API that does not detect the Spotify desktop player as a device, see here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-for-Developers/Spotify-desktop-client-not-submitting-data-to-the-API/td-p/5430657.
This could cause your Spotify extension to not properly work.
The current workaround is to open your Spotify player in a browser instead: https://open.spotify.com/.
